The disputes among Muslims often arise due to their inability to handle the differences in understanding that occur among Muslims.
Differences in understanding that are related to subsidiary matters have long been present among Muslims, ever since the time of the companions of the Prophet (PBUH), disagreements have occurred among the companions in understanding the Prophet's commands.
Similarly, the development of fiqh schools of thought among Muslims also has not escaped from differences. In addressing these differences, the Imams of the schools of thought can show mutual respect and appreciation for one another. However, often among the followers of these schools, some tend to be excessive by obligating others to follow their school and blaming those who do not share their views.
Therefore, in this paper, a brief discussion is presented on four schools of thought.
